Frequently Asked Questions

The four labour codes were notified and took effect from 21 November 2025 as per the Ministry of Labour. However, actual payroll implementation varies by employer — some updated salary structures in January 2026, others are still rolling out changes.
Most large companies (IT, banking, manufacturing) are expected to complete restructuring by Q1–Q2 2026. Smaller companies may take longer. Check with your HR team for your specific company's timeline.
Technically no — it's law. But enforcement is gradual. The government is allowing a transition period for compliance. However, any new employee onboarded after the effective date should already see the new structure.
If your basic is already ≥50% of CTC, you may not see any change. If it's below 50% and your employer hasn't restructured yet, they may be in transition. Use our calculator to see what your new structure should look like.
This depends on the employer and state government directives. Some companies may do a one-time correction, others will apply changes prospectively from the date of their policy update.
